Continental Wanderer Werke 340 Working Vintage Typewriter

Found in a garage sale ;) Beautiful authentic portable typewriter Continental 340 from Wanderer Werke. Serial number R423135 and made in 1942. This typewriter still comes with the original manual and the case in good condition with key!

Wanderer-Werke was a major German manufacturer of bicycles, motorcycles, cars, tools and office machines, founded in 1885 in Chemnitz (Germany). The founders of this factory used the name Wanderer from the translation of the word and brand Rover from England.

Manufactured by Wanderer-Werke until World War II, the CONTINENTAL typewriters were the most prestigious typewriters sold both in Germany and abroad. In addition, this factory produced the first cars of the prestigious German brand Audi. This vintage typewriter still works fine, but is also decoratively interesting due to its 1930s appearance and art deco look.
