I took this over from a British couple who are moving back to Great Britain because of their retirement. It is a beautiful original mechanical Odhner calculator model number 24. The Odhner brand comes from the Swede Willgodt. T. Odhner who invented the Odhner Arithmometer in the 19th century. He produced these mechanical calculators under his name from St. Petersburg in Russia. A nice detail is that in his younger years he worked in the factory of Ludvig Nobel, Albert Nobel's brother. After the Russian Revolution in 1917, after his factory fell into state hands, his work was continued by his sons from Sweden under the name Original Odhner.

This model 24 was made after the war years between 1946 and 1947. The decals are still fine. This model is not very common and has extra decimal places up to 20. That is why it is longer than the other Odhner models. This may have been at a border exchange office in England. All parts run, only the 1 on the left sticks when resetting. The calculations can certainly be made on it.

Now that we work from home more and we sometimes set up a separate room for it, it is also the time to create a nice room in it. What does it take now? That depends on what you like. Mister Green Originals loves authentic original items that fit perfectly as decoration in the office of the future with a nod to the robust past. After all, the timelessness of these items remind us of the history that has shaped us into the people we are today. Embrace this nostalgia and enjoy the atmosphere of your study or home office. Suitable as home decoration.

It is also a good investment. These machines will only become rarer and more valuable in the future.

It will be packaged circularly and shipped insured.
